Fire Districts

Fire Districts

There are ten fire districts that serve unincorporated Adams County. Each fire district is responsible for plan review and enforcement of the International Fire Code within their district. Building Safety works hand in hand with these districts for review of submitted building plans and inspections of existing and new structures. Below is a list of the fire districts with address, phone number and a link to their websites. At the bottom of the page you will find a link to a map showing the boundaries of each district. Be sure to contact the fire district for your area to see if they have any requirements for your proposed project.

Fire District Impact Fees

On December 12, 2018, the Adams County Board of Commissioners approved an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with eight fire districs that provide services to the County to collect "fire district impact fees" for proposed development. Collection of the fees began on January 1, 2018. The fees are collected by each fire district for projects located in their specific district. Adams County will not issue a final building permit until documentation has been obtained showing proof of payment.
