Head Start was designed to address the disparity in school achievement between children of families within the federal poverty level and children from families well above those poverty guidelines. Head Start’s ultimate goal is to provide children and their families the education and tools to be successful in school as well as later in life.
The mission of ACHS is to provide high quality early education for children in partnership with their families and the community.
The vision of ACHS is that every child enrolled in Head Start will enter kindergarten with the competencies necessary to succeed in school and parents/caregivers will be empowered to be their child’s most important teacher.
Adams County Head Start is accepting applications for enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year. Click here for more information.
