Mobile Home Initiative

Mobile Home Parks are a bedrock source of low-income housing in Colorado and throughout the country. Mobile home parks house many immigrant workers and their families, senior citizens on fixed incomes, people with disabilities, veterans, and others in need of low-cost housing. In fact, Adams County contains the highest density of mobile home parks in the state of Colorado.

In partnership with Adams County Government, the Colorado Poverty Law Project (CPLP) launched its Mobile Home Initiative (MHI) in 2020. Through the MHI, CPLP seeks to provide legal services to mobile home residents in Adams County. Key programs include community “Know Your Rights” trainings on the rights of mobile home residents under Colorado’s Mobile Home Park Act, pro bono legal consultation and representation on matters related to landlord violations of the Mobile Home Park Act, eviction defense, and direct referrals to community partners on non-legal social services. CPLP cannot provide rental assistance or help with buying and selling mobile home parks.

If you are an Adams County mobile home resident with a legal question, call the number below for a free consultation with an attorney at CPLP or fill out an online intake form at the CPLP website.
