The Adams County Open Space Program recently held a video contest with area high school students in an effort to highlight the fantastic parks and open spaces within Adams County. Students were asked to create a video that was creative and energetic, but also highlighted the location of and amenities at the park or open space. Four videos were submitted for the contest. Each of these videos debuted at the 2012 Adams County Open Space Forum.
- Webster Lake (E.B. Raines Jr. Memorial Park)
- Man vs. Wild at Big Dry Creek
- Best Friends Playing at Big Dry Creek
- Carroll Butts Park
The audience at the Open Space Forum voted on their favorite video and the video created by Westminster High School students of Carroll Butts Park was the winner! The students won $500 to purchase new audio/visual equipment for their school. Thank you to all of the students who participated!
