DENVER — Governor Jared Polis ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on the day of interment, in honor of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, as proclaimed by President Biden.

From Monday, Sept. 19 – Sunday Sept. 25, Adams County residents can drop off tree branches at Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Rd., Brighton. Enter the park at the roundabout on Henderson Rd., go north, and follow the signs to the drop off location. Branches are accepted between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 25. This service is available to residents and may not be used by commercial landscapers or businesses.
On Thursday, Sept. 1, the Adams County Board of Health appointed Dr. Kelly Weidenbach as the first Executive Director of the newly formed Adams County Health Department (ACHD). She had been serving as the Transition Director since February of this year.
This Executive Director appointment from Adams County's first Board of Health is the latest concrete step on a path toward the dissolution of the state's largest local public health agency, Tri-County Health Department (TCHD), which for more than 50 years delivered health services to Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas counties.
