If I move or have a name change, whom should I notify?

A change of name can only be done by a deed. The Assessor's Office will make the name change after the deed is recorded with the County Clerk and Recorder's Office. A name change could be due to a transfer of ownership of the property or death or marriage. If your mailing address changes you can notify the Assessor's office or the Treasurer's office.

When are Property Tax Notices mailed?

Property Tax Notices are mailed by the end of January to the owner of record, as their name and mailing address are listed on the Tax Roll as of January 1st. The Tax Roll is prepared and maintained by the County Assessor. Failure to receive a property tax statement does not exempt the taxpayer from timely payment of taxes due. Tax notices are scheduled to be mailed on February 13th, and the first half payment deadline is March 15, 2024. Please contact the Treasurer's Office at 720.523.6160 if you have any questions.

Do I receive confirmation of my credit card payment?

No, a copy of the receipt can be viewed and printed by signing back into your account. The receipt is located in the left column under Payment Receipt. A pdf document will be generated for viewing and printing.

Is there a fee? If so, how much?

Yes, there is a 2.5% fee on the tax amount for credit cards and a flat fee of $2.50 for e-check. The fees post separately in your bank account. For example, if your taxes are $1,000 the convenience fee will be $25.00 for a credit card and $2.50 for an e-check. Fees are non-refundable for duplicate entries.
